Heavy snow showers that moved across parts of north Wales on Friday have led to a spate of road accidents.
North Wales Police say they have dealt with a number of collisions in Gwynedd and Anglesey, where many people woke to a blanket of thick snow.
The A499 between Caernarfon and Pwllheli was closed after a man had to be cut free from a car.
Parts of the A55 dual carriageway on Anglesey and in Denbighshire were said to be "hazardous".
Areas around the Caernarfon area of Gwynedd saw as much as 10cm of snow fall within three hours during the early part of the morning.
There were reports of heavy traffic and difficult driving conditions at Shotton in Flintshire, and on the A55 at Rhuallt during Friday's rush hour.
At Aberdesach in Gwynedd, a man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries following a collision between a Peugeot and Audi car.
The driver of the Peugeot had to be cut free by fire crews before being flown to Bangor.
The road through the village, between Caernarfon and Pwllheli was closed while the carriageway was cleared.
Heavy snow has continued to fall on higher ground in parts of Gwynedd with drivers being warned to take extra care on roads.
A spokesperson for the council said all roads were currently open.
They added: "The council's gritting teams are currently treating the roads and we would advise motorists to take care where there is snow and ice."
In Denbighshire, the council said the snow had forced it to close Gwaenysgor Hill at Prestatyn. It said the route was likely to remain closed throughout the weekend.
