Warnings of heavy snow in north
The Met Office has issued a warning of heavy snowfalls in parts of the Highlands.
Forecasters said there will be persistent falls across Caithness, eastern Sutherland, eastern Ross and Cromarty and Inverness-shire.
The Met Office said the conditions will continue overnight with accumulations of up to 30cm on high ground.
Northern Constabulary said snow and low temperatures were affecting some routes, but all roads were open.
