Open letter of the EMSC to the President of Italy
In Italy, l’Aquila Prosecutor’s office indicted scientists, and civil protection officials for manslaughter for having failed to provide a short-term alarm to the population before the earthquake happened.
The EMSC prepared an open letter to the President of Italy to explain why such a short-term alarm was not possible.
