More than 40 flood warnings still remain in place across the UK this weekend, with Wales, central and northern England most at risk from further flooding. Homes across Tewkesbury were once again hit by rising flood waters this week .Many people are still living in caravans after the devastation caused by the floods last summer.
The Met Office says as much as two inches (50mm) of rain could fall in parts of Wales over the next two days. A close eye is still being kept across much of the UK as into next week, with another band of heavy rain forecast to move through the UK on Monday.
David King from the Environmental Agency said “the situation at the moment is reasonably stable, but our focus is on the forecast for Sunday and Monday…the rivers are full and therefore more likely to see flooding.
