Frosty temps continue to dominate spring

(AP) -- Winter-like conditions were forecast from the Pacific Northwest and Northern California to the Northern Plains on Monday, while more unseasonably cool weather was expected in the East.
Moderate to heavy rain and high-elevation snow was forecast from Northern California to British Columbia.
Rain falling across the Great Basin and Rockies during the day was expected to move into the Northern Plains at night.
Much of the East was expected to remain dry, though light lake-effect snow was forecast across the Great Lakes region.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms were expected to linger throughout the Gulf Coast and parts of the Southeast.
Scattered snow and rain showers were expected to continue over parts of the Four Corners, while light rain was likely in the Southern Plains.
Temperatures in the Lower 48 states on Sunday ranged from a low of minus-2 degrees in Mt. Washington, New Hampshire, to a high of 82 degrees in Needles, California.
