Storms tear through northern Bangladesh

Reports say that severe tropical storms lashed northern Bangladesh over the weekend, injuring some 45 people. Heavy hail and a tornado triggered by storms affected villages in the Tangail and Jamalpur districts.
Thousands of homes are reported to have been destroyed and many others were left without electricity.
