Warning of flooding risk to homes
Extensive flooding has been seen over the past few days
Homes in parts of Wales are at risk of flooding from swollen rivers, says the Environment Agency.
Nine flood warnings and 19 flood watches were in place in Wales on Thursday morning.
A number of roads were closed in parts of mid and north Wales and train services were also disrupted following heavy rain overnight.
Manweb said electricity cuts affected around 2,000 properties due to high winds.
Supply was restored to all properties within a couple of hours.
Schools were also affected with Ysgol Pennal in Machynlleth closed.
Train services were suspended between Llandudno Junction and Blaenau Ffestiniog, and Newtown and Machynlleth due to flooding.
Road closures included the A4086 Llanberis Pass in Gwynedd and the A490 between B4388 (Forden) and A483 (Welshpool by-pass).
The A458 was also closed due to flooding between the A490/B4381 Brook Street (Welshpool) and A470 (Mallwyd).
In the centre of Builth Wells, the A483 The Strand was closed due to flooding at Strand Street. The river was said to have been exceptionally high and had flooded the road.
The A487 Dyfi Bridge at Machynlleth was closed in both directions due to flooding between A489 Heol Maengwyn and the A493.
The A495 at Meifod, Powys, was also closed in both directions due to flooding between B4389 (Meifod) and A483/B4396 (Llynclys - Shropshire).
