Thunderstorms And Heavy Rain Warning In Selangor, Negeri Sembilan And Melaka
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 12 (Bernama) -- Thunderstorms and heavy rain with strong winds in several parts of Selangor, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka is expected to continue until late morning Friday.
A statement from the Meteorological Department says the areas affected in Selangor are Kuala Selangor, Klang, Kuala Langat, Sepang and Petaling; Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan and the whole of Melaka.
"A similar weather is also predicted in Gombak (Selangor), the federal territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as in Seremban and Rembau in Negeri Sembilan," it adds.
The department also says that moderate rain with occasional heavy rain is expected in Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Hulu Terengganu, Dungun and Kemaman districts) and Pahang (Jerantut and Kuantan districts) from Saturday until Monday.
A similar weather is also expected in the districts of Maran, Pekan, Bera and Rompin in Pahang and Mersing, Kluang, Johor Baharu and Kota Tinggi in Johor from Sunday until Tuesday.
"This condition may cause flood along river banks and low-lying areas," it says.
