Tornadoes kill at least one in eastern Iowa

IOWA CITY, Iowa - Severe storms ripped through eastern Iowa on Thursday night, spawning tornadoes, high wind and hail that left at least one person dead and cut off power to thousands.
One person was killed after a tornado destroyed a mobile home, according to the National Weather Service.
Elsewhere, high winds tore off roofs, crushed cars and toppled trees. Residents sifted through debris downtown and in several neighborhoods.
